Our Symphony
My heart beats like a metronome
keeping time to our rhythmic movement
as the tempo ever increases
to the crescendo ending.
Between Us
The divide between us
cannot be measured by miles
as I lie next to you in the darkness.
Only inches between us,
you might as well be a half a world away.
I tire of reaching for you.
You’re always out of my grasp.
This is our secret only between us.

Our Symphony recalls the ecstasy for anyone who has been fortunate enough to be so intimately in sinc. Between Us is a sad reminder for anyone who has been together long enough to feel that divide.
