He calls me his stanza.
Words that keep peeling off napkins,
Chase statements, proforma invoices,
occasionally resting on his lips,
as he sips whiskey and water
at wee hours. Undone.
Before the day rolls its million eyes
on his weary face, he randomly pares down
flecks of his heart into fervid words.
The stanza blooms like sweet tobacco,
moon still stationed outside the tall window,
music filling the ash-smeared walls.
The pen crushes the fullness of the paper,
its squeaky nib running rivers on my skin.
He tells me suffering is the gateway.

The Right Way to Self Publish
by Zorina Exie Frey
“The Right Way to Self Publish is like the GPS. It not only tells you every twist and turn you will encounter on your journey to Self Publication, but it alerts you when you are about to be confronted with them. It even gives you traffic warnings so you know what to avoid.”
