Oppugnant Narcissus

What happens when you fall out of love with yourself?
When you gaze at your reflection
and are repulsed by what you see.

You used to turn yourself on
imaging the look on his face
when he saw

Svelte, pert, sexual.
Garnished with stockings
Suspenders and lace.

And now. Staring back,
cracks, crevasse, and haggard ravines.
The blubberous peaks and troughs of repugnance and disgust?

The ghost of a vixen
-dressed in whales clothing-
Wondering how she ever allowed herself to be wanted.

The Right Way to Self Publish

by Zorina Exie Frey

“The Right Way to Self Publish is like the GPS. It not only tells you every twist and turn you will encounter on your journey to Self Publication, but it alerts you when you are about to be confronted with them. It even gives you traffic warnings so you know what to avoid.”

~David Kimball – Writer
